If you need help when we are closed
If you need medical attention when the surgery is closed please call the surgery on 0115 9734502 and a recorded message will give you instructions. Or you could ring directly through to the Out of Hours service on 111. After giving your details, you will be contacted by a doctor who will either offer advice over the telephone, invite you to attend a GP out-of-hours centre or arrange a home visit.
Minor Injuries Units
These are for urgent but not emergency care such as:
- Bites and stings
- Minor cuts, wounds and breaks
- Muscle and joint injuries
- Suturing (stitches)
- Minor eye injuries – problems such as foreign bodies and conjunctivitis

How to make a complaint
Staff at the Practice try to give our patients the best service possible, but sometimes we don’t get it right and it may lead you to feel you have cause to complain.
Laurie Bell (Reception Manager) or Helen Chadwick (Operations Manager) are always available to discuss your concerns but if for any reason she is not you can either contact the Assistant Practice Manager, or complete a complaints form, which is available on line or at the Practice. We aim to acknowledge the complaint within 48 hours of receipt although it may take the Practice up to 40 days to fully investigate your complaint. We will endeavour to keep you informed.
